Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Next Up app and website. Next Up is run by Grenton Consulting (Pty) Ltd in South Africa ("we"). By creating an account or using Next Up, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law.
What Next Up is
Next Up follows showjumping shows in South Africa: classes and starting lists from the riding orders SA Showjumping publishes, which rider is in the arena, and estimates of when classes and riders go. Next Up is independent and not run by SA Showjumping or by the shows it follows.
Times are estimates
Times, waits and alerts are estimates worked out from how a show is running. Shows change: classes run late, riders go out of order, and breaks, course changes and jump-offs happen. Always check with the show and listen for the announcer. Next Up isn't responsible for a missed class or round.
Your account
Give accurate details, keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to create an account and to subscribe. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
Subscriptions
Some features need a paid subscription. You buy it through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to the payment as well. Before you subscribe, the app shows the price and how often you pay.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before then.
- You cancel or change it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Next Up account doesn't cancel it.
- If we offer a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
- If the price changes, you'll be told beforehand, and you can cancel before it applies.
Using Next Up fairly
Don't copy Next Up's information in bulk, interfere with how it works, try to get into accounts or parts of it that aren't yours, or use it to harass anyone. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Ours and theirs
The Next Up app, website, name and logo belong to us. Show information comes from the shows and SA Showjumping, and riders' and horses' names belong to the people they describe. Ask us if you'd like a rider's details corrected or hidden; see our privacy page.
When things go wrong
We work to keep Next Up running and accurate, but it may sometimes be unavailable or wrong. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from relying on Next Up's times or information.
Changes and the law
If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by South African law.
